The Romanian American Forum
The Romanian American Forum (RAF) was established in 1997. RAF is
a not-for-profit organization registered in Washington, D.C.
RAF’s goal is to develop, foster, and enhance American Romanian
economic, cultural, and educational exchanges. Specifically, RAF:
• Facilitates the introduction, promotion, and expansion of
Romanian businesses in the American business mainstream;
• Assists US companies to better understand the Romanian business environment,
find appropriate business partners, and overcome any obstacles that may be encountered
during business activities in Romania; and
• Gathers and publishes information on business opportunities in Romania
and helps US companies and private individuals with project development, financing
and implementation.
RAF is a one-stop repository for information pertaining to Romanian
American economic, educational, and cultural relations.
Through its work, RAF will strive to promote transparency, good governance,
ethical and correct business practices, and all of the values associated
with free open societies and democracies.
Under a new charter and with a new management team established in
2003, RAF is well positioned to fulfill its mission and provide its
members from both sides of the Atlantic with the knowledge and customized
support necessary to reach their business objectives.
